LaVida Apartments Near Miami Airport

Pinnacle and Ascend to break ground on apartments near Miami airport

 

Pinnacle Housing Group and Ascend Properties will break ground on an apartment complex in the Blue Lagoon area just south of Miami International Airport after obtaining a $46.4 million construction loan.

Iberiabank provided the mortgage to the developers for the 7.44-acre site at 6650 N.W. 7th Street. The builders also obtained an equity investment from Arbor Realty Trust.

Designed by Behar Font & Partners, LaVida Apartments will have 272 apartments, with units ranging from one to three bedrooms. The average size will be 950 square feet. They will rent from $1,780 to $2,590.

The project will have two towers of eight stories each.

Blue Lagoon is primarily an office park with a handful of hotels. Located on the south side of the Dolphin Expressway along a large lake, the area has more than 10,000 daily employees.

“LaVida Apartments is a wonderful opportunity for our development team to provide Class A lakeside apartment homes and a live/work connection for the thousands of employees in the surrounding business park and broader area,” said Pinnacle Housing Group partner Michael Wohl. “We also plan to bring first-class furnished apartments that will serve corporate executives and employees.”

Amenities at the LaVida Apartments will include a 9,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center and a pool.

The LaVida Apartments in Miami should be completed in mid-2019. The general contractor is PGH Builders.
